Home to seven endangered coral species, world-class snorkeling, and the legendary Tres Palmas surf break, the Reserve is co-managed by the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA) and the Tres Palmas Management Board, (Amigos de Tres Palmas), following a conservation plan developed in 2008.
The plan was simple: maintain and protect the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve as a community.
Since 2007, the same activists joined by a new generation of community members have played a key role in ensuring the ongoing protection of this vital ecosystem.
Salva Tres Palmas continues this mission—advocating for responsible stewardship and transparancy, fostering community engagement, delivering real time/up to date, un-biased information, and safeguarding the future of this iconic marine reserve for generations to come.
